I feed a high quality seed made by a friend of mine.
The birds have daily access to cuttle bone, calcium and iodine blocks and hulled oats.
The birds are also fed vegetables and egg food/soft food on a daily basis.
The birds also get calcivet (a high quality calcium additive) in their water 3 times per week.
Once babies arrive the breeding pairs are given egg and biscuit mix daily, hulled oats daily, and calcivet 5 times per week.
This will ensure that all the babies will be fed properly, and that the hen does not starve herself to feed the chicks.
Safe vegetables are: Silverbeet, corn, carrot, brocoli, cauliflower, watermelon, mango.
The birds are also on f-vite and d - nutrical, a vitamin powder.
