SIMPLIFIED DARK FACTOR EXPLANATION

This article was made by Me, Pearce Flint. If you would like to use it please email me.

While I was struggling with genetics, with the help of some people, I made a little table that has helped me with the dark factor.

Here goes:

Key:
dd = 0 dark factor
dD = 1 dark factor
DD = 2 dark factor

Here are the expectations/pairings

Skyblue paired to skyblue: 0 dark factor + 0 dark factor = dd dd dd dd dd dd (all skyblue chicks)

Dark green paired to dark green: 1 dark factor + 1 dark factor = dd dD dD DD (25% light green, 50% dark green, 25% olive)

Mauve paired to mauve: 2 dark factor + 2 dark factor = DD DD DD DD DD (all mauves)

Skyblue paired to cobalt: 0 dark factor + 1 dark factor = dd dd dD dD (50% skyblue, 50% cobalt)

Light green paired to olive: 0 dark factor + 2 dark factor = dD dD dD dD (100% dark green)

Dark green paired to olive: 1 dark factor + 2 dark factor = dD dD DD DD (50% dark green, 50% olive)

Keep in mind this article can be used for the likes of double factor and single factor mutations.
